Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka compresses more into a week than most countries manage in three — rock fortresses, tea country trains, leopard country, a coastline that changes character every hour of driving. Two monsoons split the island's calendar down the middle, which is why February, with the south and the hills both dry, is when we most often send people. The east coast keeps a separate summer season for those who come back.
